Project Description
This project hosts the source code used in the example projects for all chapters of the book, Building Windows 8 Apps with C# and XAML.
Examples include multi-language support (JavaScript, C++, C#, etc.), share contract, search contract, image processing, data-binding, dependency properties, layout, panels, controls, storyboards and animations, touch, settings, pinning tiles,
selecting text, using custom data for shares, sharing bitmap images, compression, encryption, signing, OData services, WCF services, Atom and RSS feeds, local storage and cache, roaming settings, extended splash screens, tiles, badges, notifications, live
updates using the Windows Notification Services (WNS), the MVVM pattern, Inversion of Control, using the Portable Class Library for cross-platform compatibility, unit testing, and more all for Windows Store apps.
